Support for medical bills for my best friend

Hello friends, as many of you already know, my best friend of 35 years was involved in a horrific car accident in October.  She recently moved to Texas in August in search of a fresh start only to be faced with a life altering accident.  She has been through multiple surgeries for internal bleeding, spleen removal, removing part of her pancreas etc. She unfortunately lost her new job of only one week due to the accident.  Becoming a resident in Texas has been difficult due to covid restrictions. The paperwork has taken longer than usual.  Her car was completely totaled and the insurance paid off the remaining loan leaving her carless.  She doesn’t have health insurance yet and her free aid has ended. She has numerous weekly appointments and meds that she now has to pay out of pocket for.  She’s struggling to rent a car to get her to her appointments as she has  depleted her savings. Emotionally she is struggling big time, even though she puts on a happy front for you all to see on Facebook. I know that it is the holidays and tough financially for a lot of people but,   Any little bit helps if you are able to and much appreciated. She is not happy that I am doing this because she is very independent and embarrassed but I just can’t bare to hear suffering like this. Thank you all for taking the time to read this .
