Support for Luke Peach

Hi everyone,

As some of you may be aware, Luke was recently diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma. He has started radiation this week with chemotherapy to follow.

It goes without saying that it has come as a shock to us all.

Back in January-Luke developed what we all assumed was a typical cold/flu with persistent cough.

Unfortunately, we have come to learn that was not the case.

After multiple trips to the ER he was diagnosed with pneumonia. However, he did not respond to the antibiotic treatments and a CT was performed.

Last week Luke took a turn for the worse and had to be admitted to the ICU. Less than a week later he was receiving a terminal life diagnosis.

Shock would be an understatement he and his family felt.

Just turning 33 on New Years Day- having this kind of news just months later was not something even remotely on anyone’s radar.

While some of you know Luke personally, this may reach others that do not.

Luke is a kind hearted, hilarious and all around great guy! So creative and extremely hard working!

While working two jobs he still started his own business selling sports related memorabilia. The countless hours he spent going to markets, talking to customers online and in person- he always made people feel heard and shared their excitement for whatever sport was up for discussion. He loved them all!

We are hoping to raise money so that he and Bhreagh do not have to worry about living costs while he is undergoing treatment. They recently moved into a new apartment in January and as can be expected it hasn’t been the exciting new chapter that they imagined.

Unfortunately, most new chemo medications are not covered for typical healthcare plans. So, this fundraiser will also go to medical costs.

Of course there is no pressure to send money- they appreciate everyone’s thoughts and kind words at this time.

We all plan on celebrating everyday with Luke as he deserves to feel that love and joy daily.

We are very optimistic that with treatment he will live for many years!

I’m sure if he were to be writing this post he would be saying, “Can’t wait to see you on the golf course this summer!”
