Support for Kurt Sump & Family

Donation protected
Hey everyone!

As many of you know, Kurt Sump suffered a heart attack while out shopping in the afternoon on March 30th, 2018. His heart stopped, and his brain was without oxygen for an extended period of time. It was and still is a scary situation for his wife, Leslie, and two children, Christine and Gregory. The doctors told Leslie and Christine that they would begin to bring him out of sedation on Monday, April 2nd, but he remains unresponsive. The doctors are concerned that there may be lasting neurological damage, but they will be unable to tell until they are able to complete an EEG test or CT scan. Unfortunately, they are unable to complete these tests until Kurt's blood pressure is completely stable, for fear that he may go into cardiac arrest again. Currently, the doctors are waiting for Kurt to become responsive and are giving him a few more days before giving his family a prognosis.

In addition to the stress they are facing with Kurt being in the hospital, the Sump family also received the news that the home they are renting is being sold, and they were given until April 30th to vacate. This news was delivered on Thursday March 29th, just a day before Kurt was admitted to the hospital.

As of right now, Leslie and Christine are working together to find a new home that they can move into by the end of April and are making sure to be at the hospital with Kurt whenever possible and Gregory is still attending school. However, Christine has missed several days of work already and will likely miss more throughout the next month while she and Leslie continue to house-hunt, pack up their current house, and continue to take care of Kurt and pray that he gets better. Kurt is not out of the woods yet, but the road ahead will be filled with months of expensive treatments and rehabilitation. On top of this, Kurt is not working currently, which will put an additional financial burden on Leslie, Christine, and Gregory.

I would like to ask for any support that you are able to give. Monetary donations will go directly to Kurt's family, but prayers and good thoughts go an extremely long way as well. Both are appreciated.

Thank you so much for showing support and love for Kurt and his family!!
