Support for Kevin Johnson

Hello friends and family.  I am here today to talk about my brother Kevin Johnson aka KJ.  Out of my family of 4 brothers and 1 sister he is the oldest,  and the glue that binds us together.  We do not know where we would be without him,  and we recently had a scare that almost made us face those fears sooner than we hoped.


On Monday,  July 24th my 37 year old brother had stroke-like symptoms. He was hospitalized for a week before the doctors diagnosed him with having a functional neurological disorder. This disorder can include symptoms such as episodes of unresponsiveness, seizures, weakness/paralysis, vision problems and hearing problems to name a few. Doctors have advised that this uncurable disorder can cause an impairment in quality of life that is similar to patients living with Parkinson's disease or MS.


To add to the stress of life that my brother and his wife and children are about to endure, they are now faced with looming medical bills. My brother had recently started back working and then the stroke like symptoms occured and he does not yet qualify for health insurance. Being that this is a pre-existing condition, he may face further issues once he is eligible to apply for benefits so money is needed now more than ever.

Seeing my brother in this position has been a shock to us all.  An avid football player,  and former cornerback for Clemson University,  KJ has always been in tip-top shape.  He is a provider,  family-man,  and all-around amazing guy,  so it is beyond tough seeing him in this condition.  



Being the strong-willed person that my brother is, he would never want to ask for anything he can't earn on his own. So here I am, on behalf of my family and his, asking for assistance to help my brother get through this major change of life. He has done so much for us, that I would love to return the favor.
