My sister Kayla Simmons and future brother in law Tyson Shaffner recently bought the home of their dreams in Paradise, California. They are set to be married January 25, 2019 and were looking forward to starting a lifetime together and raising a family in this home. On November 8th 2018 their life was flipped upside down. An emergency evacuation was placed for the town of Paradise and they were forced to leave as quickly as possible bringing only an item or two from their home before evacuating. Although we feel incredibly fortunate that they are safe they have lost everything in the Paradise Campfire. What was once their beloved home is now an empty lot. Both of the locations Kayla worked at were also lost in the fire along with the entire community of Paradise. During this extremely difficult time any help is greatly appreciated. Anything donated will go directly to Kayla and Tyson to help support them as they try to move forward from this horrific tragedy.
