Support for Fernando and the Hincapie Family

Dear family, friends, and supporters,
This page has been set up by friends of the Hincapie family because many of you have expressed a desire to help in some way.
All the funds raised through this campaign have been set up for the Hincapie family to have exclusive use and control of the funds.
Background:
In July 2018 while on vacation, Fernando started experiencing flu like symptoms (chills, body aches, etc.) and upon his return home eventually turned into extreme back and leg pains. He was diagnosed with sciatic nerve pain and for a month was treated by multiple doctors and prescribed different medications each time. After a month of multiple doctor office trips and none of the meds helping, the nerve pain increased which led to unexpected trips to the ER. In the ER they could give him meds intravenously which was instant, and it would lower his pain considerably.
On his second trip to the ER in the middle of the night, the on-call doctor decided to do a CT-scan and MRI. The unexpected results showed 4 lesions on his spine which explained the nerve pain. The cancer was wrapping itself around the nerves on his left side which was affecting his left leg. The cancer was also eating the bone around L3 & L4 till basically there was not enough bone left t

In September 2018, shortly after his diagnosis, Fernando underwent back surgery to remove the affected bone and replace that bone with two rods and six pins. It was a successful surgery that took care of immediate issue of the cancer on his spine and around the nerve affecting his left side. He was in the hospital seven days and has since been healing accordingly.
Current Situation:
Around 4 weeks post-op from the spine surgery, treatment plans for the cancer were starting to get discussed and further tests were administered because where the cancer started and where was it now was uncertain. Another MRI as well as a PET scan were done.
He has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma that has spread to his pelvis, ribs, sternum, and left collar bone. The cancer originated in his left kidney. Stage 4 is obviously aggressive and is spreading which means treatments need to happen immediately. After lots of prayer and discernment about which treatment plan to take, the family has decided on an alternative treatment plan at an out of state cancer clinic.
Our Ask:
With the recovery period from surgery and now having to go through treatments for an indefinite amount of time, means Fernando who is the sole provider for the family is unable to work. The immediate need for the Hincapie family now would be to raise funds for basic living expenses and travel expenses to the treatment center that will take place over this next year.

Beloved Padre Pio,
Today I come to add my prayer to the thousands of prayers offered to you every day by those who love and venerate you. They ask for cures and healings, earthly and spiritual blessings, and peace for body and mind. And because of thy friendship with the Lord, He heals those thou doth ask to be healed, and forgives those thou forgiveth.
Through thy visible wounds of the Cross, which thou didst bear for fifty years, thou were chosen in our time to glorify the crucified Jesus. Because the Cross has been replaced by other symbols, please help us to bring it back in our midst, for we acknowledge it is the only true sign of salvation. As we lovingly recall the wounds that pierced thy hands, feet and side, we not only remember the blood thou didst shed in pain, but thy smile, and the invisible halo of sweet-smelling flowers that surrounded thee, the perfume of sanctity.
