My Sister Was Killed By Negligent Driver

Hi, my name is Jennifer and on Saturday, 4/13/24, my older sister Ericka was killed in a car accident on HWY 12 in Whitewater, WI. She was only 38 years old. I am starting this gofundme to support my mother thru this hard time. Ericka was her firstborn child, the oldest of four of us. She didn’t have an easy life, she battled with a disability which landed her in a group home for the past years. She always dreamed of living a regular life and having her own children which we all knew just wasn’t going to be possible for her. Even though she could not have all the things she hoped for she kept pushing forward in life, until that was taken from her. A staff member from the home who was driving them failed to stop at the stop sign and their van was hit twice. My sister passed away at the scene along with two other people from the group home. Two others were left in critical condition. People who passed by the accident described it as horrific.

During this tragic event I just want our mother to be able to grieve and not have to worry about bills and work, or how she will bury her daughter. At this moment we do not know when the service will be, I will update the page when we know more. Right now we are just trying to navigate all aspects of this tragedy.
