Support for Chantelle's Girls and Family

As many of you may know, my sister, Chantelle, unexpectedly passed away on August 7th, 2024. What many of you may not know is that day, Chantelle had planned on picking all 3 of her girls up from daycare for a long overdue reunion with her youngest daughter, Parker.

Everyone who knew Chantelle knew that she tragically lost her fiance, Nik, on November 27th, 2019 when Parker was just 25 days old. Due to many complications and unforeseen circumstances, Chantelle had entrusted Parker into my care while she worked through the many challenges life threw at her. Parker has been primarily in my care since she was a baby, with the goal of reuniting Parker with her mom and sisters when she was ready and able.

Chantelle loved her kids the most in this world and always tried to be there for them even when facing insurmountable grief and hard times. She was so proud of her girls.

Up until now, I have been accompanying Parker on visits and primarily funding the them over the years, which included unpaid time off, plane tickets, many hotels, mileage, meals, outings, etc.

Anybody who knows me, knows I have always prioritized being there for my sister and my nieces. I love that Parker gets to bond with her siblings, I get to see my sister, and build a close auntie/niece relationship with Maddy and Mae.

This was never a financial burden as I had a career that could cover these expenses but that is no longer the case. This past year has brought many changes to our lives, and it has come at the cost of losing the financial security we once had.

This trip to Grande Prairie was supposed to be one last happy memory for Madison, Maelin, Parker and Chantelle before all the kids went back to school. Instead, they had their worlds turned upside down.

A portion of any funds raised will go towards alleviating the financial burden of staying to support the girls and packing up my sister's belongings to make sure the most important parts of Chantelle are kept safe for her girls.

Majority of any funds raised will go towards a savings account that will be used strictly for visits and maintaining family connections. Ensuring that finances wouldn't be a barrier through these unknown months and years to come.

The funds would be used to continue allowing me to take her to see her brother and her dad's side of the family as I know that has always been very important to Chantelle and Parker has developed a close relationship with them over the years.
