Support for Bethany

She needs our help!

Bethany is the mother of 5 kids with 3 daughters at home and until June was working 2 full time jobs to support her family.  Nine years ago she had her leg amputated up to the knee due to a severe and life threatening infection and she adapted wonderfully with a prosthesis until 3 months ago. Bethany developed a severe infection when the new prosthetic failed and it has spread to her bone. She had been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks and has had two surgeries and will need to have home iv antibiotics and treatment for up to three months, now that she's been released. Bethany will not be able to use a prosthetic and will need to be out of work  ( if all goes well) for at least three more months. 

   Insurance does NOT cover the medical supplies she will need for home iv therapy This comes to $70/day x 90 days: $6300
   Rent and utilities for 3 months will be $ 6000
   Weekly hospital visits & incidentals to Dartmouth Hitchcock (120 miles round trip) x 3 months: $2800
   We are looking for a donated used car or $2000 to purchase one

   Total is $17,100

These funds will allow Bethany and her family  to stay in their home and allow her to heal. Without them, she will lose her  home. Without a stable living environment, she could lose her life. 

What happened to Bethany could happen to any of us . It is sad to say that a catastrophic illness and the inability to work is devastating . Sadly, GO Fund Me  is what we need to do to help get this  family back on their feet. 

The situation is urgent for her to be able to go home. Bethany is a proud woman who does not like to ask for help. She loves her family and realizes we have no choice.
