Amy Leung is an amazing, inspiring angel of hope. Her compassion for the elderly, desiring to be there for them and give them care as they approach the close of their lives, has propelled her to pursue a degree as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), which will put her in the position to have a voice and greater power in giving the elderly she works with the love and attention they need and deserve.
Amy was born with a cleft lip and wants to be able to show other people similarly disadvantaged that with a dream and a passion nothing can hold them back from being a light in other people's lives and glorifying the name of the Lord by sharing His hope with those who have lost hope. It is because of this that she has started on the road to higher education.
For the last year, Amy has worked hard in a nursing home while pursuing the early education she needs in order to apply for the LPN program. Minimum wage at part time while she goes through school has made it very difficult for Amy to meet her financial obligations of rent, healthcare, and tuition bills. For the next two semesters before she is able to apply for financial aid, Amy needs support to keep pursuing this dream that God has pressed on her heart.
Tuition costs are $1,600 and supplementing $850 a month over the next few months will help her pay for other living expenses.
