Support Edna in her Cancer Diagnosis

Please meet Edna Boone Patton. Edna has stage 4 bladder cancer that has gone to the lymph nodes and has metastasized, it is aggressive and it is progressing quickly. Her cancer is at such an advanced stage that she has chosen not to take treatment.

Edna married the love of her life, Mike Patton, 59 years ago. Her diagnosis has come as a complete shock to both of them and they are trying to manage their way through it all the best way possible. As cancer is unpredictable, the diagnosis has caught them both unprepared. The road ahead for Edna is short and coming to an end soon.

Edna was in the hospital for a week in late September. She found out her diagnosis on a Thursday in early October, and went back to the emergency room the following Monday, just 4 days later, and had a hospital stay for over a week. They didn’t even have time to start processing and comprehending the diagnosis before she went back into the hospital. She is now back at home in hospice care, coming 2 times a week and as needed, and Mike is her 24/7 caregiver. They are going through the most challenging time of their lives!

Our family is helping them navigate this time and find that we need to ask for help in making ends meet with the incoming medical/hospital bills and upcoming funeral expenses.
