For anyone who knows Edana Hall, there is a heart string attached.  She is our midwife, our friend, our family.  She has been on epic journeys with each of us.  She has worked long hours (literally, days that turned into nights and back into days), studied, researched, taught, listened, supported and cared for us.  And THEN, she has delivered our angels and united our families.  We are all a part of a tribe who is blessed and forever grateful for the work and love of this woman.

Edana is retiring from one of the greatest loves of her life, midwifery, to pursue answers to her own health.  Her life-savings was invested into our only North County birthing center and sadly, she has had to close those doors.  After 30 years of experience and service, her loving hands and expertise in the birthing community will be dearly missed!  

For a year now, Edana has been searching for a diagnosis to symptoms effecting her speech, swallowing and breathing.  These symptoms have become debilitating and more severe and painful over time.   Additionally, she will be undergoing surgery for her hip and knee soon.  The financial pressures of ongoing medical treatment and health care, loss of the birth center, and an un-predicted early retirement are adding up quickly.  There are many of you who have asked how you can help during such an important time in her life, so we have created this account.  Our goal is to rally and lift her up in love and support, and also to raise as much as we can to relieve some of the financial burdens and stress.  THANK YOU for joining together with us in an an opportunity to give back to someone who has given her very best to us and our families.  Our positive thoughts and prayers are with you Edana.
