One Step Closer to a Cure for Duchenne
Tax deductible
Hi, I’m Hanna Stone, and in just a few weeks, I’ll be running an ultramarathon to raise money for CureDuchenne in honor of a family friend’s one year old son who was recently diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
Running this kind of distance isn’t easy. But for kids with DMD, every day is a challenge. This race is my way of standing with a family I care deeply about and contributing to something bigger: hope for better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
His diagnosis has deeply impacted their family and everyone who knows him. DMD is a rare genetic disorder that causes progressive muscle loss, eventually affecting a child’s ability to walk, move, and breathe. Right now, there is no cure.
He’s the kind of child who brings joy to everyone around him. He is curious, cautious, and full of wonder. When he smiles and laughs, he lights up the room. This cause is meaningful to his family and to everyone who has the privilege of knowing him.
CureDuchenne is one of the leading organizations funding research, supporting families, and working toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. Their work is urgent because for kids with DMD, time matters.
Your donation will help support:
• Groundbreaking research to accelerate new therapies
• Programs that directly support families
• Long-term efforts to improve the quality of life for kids with DMD
This is personal for me, and for a family I care deeply about. If you’re able to donate, whether financially or by simply keeping this sweet boy and his family in your thoughts and prayers, we would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for being part of this, and for standing with us in the fight for a cure.
