Support Courtney and Savvy

In October of 2017, Courtney walked into the ER complaining of chest pain and discomfort while breathing. This was her fourth pneumonia diagnosis in two years. After her usual round of antibiotics she went on about her life only to be back in the hospital the following month, this time in excruciating pain. After extensive testing, a golf ball size mass was found in her right lung growing against the heart. In addition to the mass, the lung had collapsed which was, and still is, resulting in a lot of pain. Over the past few months, Courtney has met with a pulmonologist and a cardiothoracic surgeon numerous times. She's had two bronchoscopies preformed in hopes of understanding what the mass is exactly. Unfortunately, these procedures have been unsuccessful. Courtney is a non-smoker and an all around healthy Individual. Given her history, her surgeon has deemed her a "medical mystery." With that being said, the mass is causing reoccurring infections and due to its unknown nature, they will be removing the middle lobe of her right lung all together. This will ensure the mass doesn't spread.

Not only do we hate to see our friend in pain, but she is a single mom to an infant. She was working in childcare to support herself and her daughter but she is unable to work due to multiple doctor appointments each week and the pain she's in just by breathing. We are trying to raise money to help cover her normal bills as well as her new medical bills and take some of this financial burden off of her shoulders so she can focus on her health and not on how to provide for her daughter with no income coming in currently. While no one should have to go through unexpected health issues that leave them in pain and without a means to support their child, Courtney has faced tons of hardships this year and has managed to pull herself through them on her own but now she needs help from the outside, whether she wants to ask for it or not.
