Mukit is a SS 2 [11th grade] student in Southwest of Nigeria. He is 16 years old. 

At the age of 8, he had an accident that affected his eye. This was very traumatizing for Mukit and his parents. He set them back not only academically but financially. Doctors concluded he would need corrective surgery.

His indigent Parents have really made several effort but could not afford the corrective surgery all these while. They have only been administering eye-drop medications for the past 8 years.

His Teacher in Africa has been my childhood friend who tells me a lot about his brilliance and academic prowess. However, it has been a very tough hurdle for him he hardly can see with the affected eye.
