Support Christine's Breast Cancer Fight

Donation protected

You're never ready to hear the C word. For our family August 7th historically has not been a great day. Six years ago our sister Cheri was diagnosed with Leukemia and on August 7th of this year Christine was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, grade 2, 10mm, HER2+ ER+ PR+, Stage 1 - Breast Cancer. As anyone knows the C word is a quick punch to the gut and is as varied as it is terrifying. Then comes the questions of how big, how widespread, will I need surgery/chemo/radiation, will I loose my hair, will I loose my life? The terror spiral is quick. Luckily Christine has an amazing support system of family, fit-family, and friends that have helped lift her spirits and keep those positive vibes flowing.

Christine found her lump herself while in the shower. She self-advocated at the doctor and had a mammogram that quickly confirmed a lump. About a week after that she went in for a biopsy. The wait on those results felt like years. Unfortunately a few days after the biopsy the results were confirmed. Family, in every sense of the word, swooped in uplifting our girl. Very shortly after Labor Day Christine was in to see one of the best Breast Cancer Surgeons on the east coast, at Penn. A plan was made for surgery on September the 10th.

Our girl kicked ass and looked like a model all through that tough day and every day since.

One week after surgery she was back to her daily work outs (modified, of course) kicking ass, and inspiring everyone!

What most people don't know is that she has been completing her exercises every day since her surgery with a smile and encouraging everyone. "If I can do it, so can you!"

So who is Christine? She is an amazing wife, supportive mother, hilarious sister and friend, inspiring coach, and she was all of those things before she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Anyone who knows Christine knows she has a passion for promoting self-care and taking care of our bodies. Every part of her day surrounds the positivity of movement and the passion behind inspiring others to reach further.

Next to her love of her husband and amazing kids is her love of  motivational movement and promoting healthy living. She found her extended family within the Beachbody organization, a second home to so many. She has adopted sisters and brothers all over the country that have already started to reach out with love and support providing her with the encouragement she needs and thrives off of.

Christine has conquered so many of her goals that she set for herself, now comes the unexpected hurdle that no one should have to face. In true Christine form her goal is to overcome Cancer while being a busy mom to two very active 4 and 6 year olds.

She is going to need all of the love, support, and encouragement this very large extended family can provide.

As so many of us touched by cancer know the 1st thing that arrives is the diagnosis, the 2nd is the medical bills. Barely two months in and the bills have already started to fly in. We are hoping to help ease the financial burden of this disease and take one stress away from Christine so she can focus all of her energy on her fight and being a mom to these beautiful babies. If you find you are able to donate we will be forever grateful to you. All of these funds go directly and entirely to Christine. If you are not able to donate please forward this along in the hopes that as many people as possible see her story and become inspired, take preventative care, or know they are not alone.
