Support Chloe and Elliott Gavney and Family

It's hard to know exactly how to describe the tragedy this family is going through. But I will try.
Josh Gavney passed away suddenly on December 23rd. He struggled with addiction and it overcame him. Devastatingly, he left behind his daughter Chloe (13) and Elliott (8). Chloe is very protective of Elliott, and a true old soul. Elliott is an absolute sweetheart. Undoubtedly a result of the spirit they got from their mom and dad. Their mom, Dani, and I have been close friends for years. Even after their divorce, Dani and Josh remained close friends. Josh would stay there for weeks on end to be with the kids and he would even help Dani with her other children.
Before he died, he slept every night with Elliott, walked him to the bus every day. Took the kids on adventures, as he did throughout their life, despite his battle with addiction. He would tease Dani, they had a comradery you would just have to watch and laugh at. He will be sorely missed by so many.
Since he has died, Dani is trying to hold on for herself, Elliott and Chloe. Her husband Abe is trying to be there for the kids, he is very close to them as well. And they are raising three other children, their youngest was born just 3 months ago. However, being home for the kids at this time means Abe is not working. Dani has been a stay at home mom for years. And they can't return to the house where Josh died just a week ago.
On top of this, Dani is facing another great loss, details withheld to respect privacy and wishes. The devastation Dani is going through individually while trying to be a rock for 5 kids is great.
I am asking you to help them. At this point, Dani, Abe and the kids can't return to the home they had, and are facing significant financial hardship. They are trying to gather the funds together to pay for a security deposit on a new apartment, pay for utilities, moving expenses, and get them through until Abe can secure more consistent employment and they can work through their emotional losses. They would like to treat the kids to a night at a hotel where they can let them be kids again, even just for a night, despite the fact their lives have drastically changed forever. They want to grieve and not have to worry about survival.
