Support Brandy Richards' Recovery

On February 9th, 2023 Brandy Richards was injured in a crash during a coaching class in Delano, California, where she broke her right femur, dislocated her left hip and separated her right shoulder among other subsequent injuries. Brandy was life-flighted to Kern Valley Medical where she stayed for two days before being assessed with a neck injury. For specialized care, she was transported to Loma Linda University Hospital in Loma Linda, California for further assessment and surgery.

Brandy underwent surgery to repair her femur, her hip was put back into place and thankfully she was cleared of her neck injury. However, the crash induced vertigo, which led to an extended two-week stay in the hospital. Once cleared to return home, Brandy's recovery process began immediately with physical therapy three times a week to regain her walking ability, balance and strength for daily tasks. Unfortunately, because of the location of her accident (California), insurance is considering her services as out-of-state/network (Arizona) and is only covering a small portion of the medical bills.

As an accomplished world champion, US Motocross and Off-road racer and history-making competitor on a global level, being a Professional athlete is Brandy’s full-time job. This injury will take her out of contention for a few months as she prepares for the second half of the racing season, and the 97th International Six Days of Enduro in San Juan, Argentina in November.
