Support Brad Cheeseman

Hi everyone,

This past fall, Brad was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. A tumor was found in the esophageal junction that has sadly spread to his liver. Brad began chemotherapy very quickly on advice of his medical providers and continues to receive treatment. He has inspired those close to him with his courage in dealing with this news, but right now he needs support.

Brad finds himself in a situation racked with uncertainty; about his health, but also about how he will deal with the “normal” events of day to day life while living with a serious illness. Brad currently is working through his treatment plan here in Newfoundland and Labrador, but is looking at alternatives that may exist outside of this province.His cancer was diagnosed as terminal, so time is a concern in terms of Brad identifying all treatment options that could help him.



We are initiating this fundraising effort because we do not want money to stand in the way of anything that could have a positive impact on Brad’s health. We plan on using any funds raised to assist with further treatment options (travel costs, hotels etc.) and his personal finances - at this time, the last thing he should worry about is money to pay bills and provide for himself.

 

If you are reading this you probably know Brad well, but some of you may not. “Cheese” as many of his friends call him, is what we all want in a friend. He is loyal, caring, supportive, passionate and he’s real. Prior to his diagnosis Brad had completed his Masters in Counselling Psychology and had started a Counselling practice. This was a natural fit to his friends since he has always been a shoulder to lean on or a voice of reason to those in need.

 

We love Brad and we cherish his friendship. He  has always been there for his family and friends and dedicated his career to helping others. But, right now Brad needs our support . Please aid us in this cause to help our Brother, Brad Cheeseman, fight this battle with cancer.
