Who Are We?
Bold Proposal is the collected work of a trio of Boston University alumni—Maurie Moore, Charley Danger and Shamus—each bringing a distinct artistic expertise to a shared vision: fearless storytelling, genre-bending theatricality, and work that meets the urgency of the moment.
Maurie Moore’s artistry is shaped by a lifelong love of performance. Beginning with childhood Cinderella reenactments and extending through 11 years as a competitive figure skater. Her athletic discipline and theatrical training inform a visceral, physically grounded performance style. Since relocating to NYC in 2024, she has continued her studies at the Bob Krakower Studio while building a multifaceted career that bridges performance and entrepreneurship.
Charley Danger is a NYC based producer and performer whose work spans stage and screen. A standout in Oscar-winning director Cynthia Wade’s award-winning short Sproutland, Charley’s foundation includes formative training with Shakespeare & Company artists in the Berkshires and international study at London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA). With experience in film festivals, live studio audience television, and classical performance, Charley brings a sharp comedic instinct and deep ensemble commitment.
Shamus is an award-winning director and producer currently serving as Producing Artistic Director of Shakespeare in Clark Park. A 2025 Barrymore Award recipient for Outstanding Outdoor Production, his work spans new play development, musicals, classical adaptation, puppetry, and immersive performance across the Northeast. A member of SDC and Actor’s Equity, Shamus brings a decade-plus of producing leadership, institutional partnership, and bold reimaginings of classic and contemporary work.
Together, Bold Proposal merges producing acumen, actor-driven process, and a passion for new and daring work. Rooted in shared training but shaped by varied careers, the company exists to champion stories that are theatrical, surprising, and unapologetically alive.
