Support Berta's Recovery and Family

Hi, my name is Lorena Bautista, with great sadness that we ask for your help. My sister and family were part of armed violence. She was part of the mass shooting at 52nd & Damen. My sister Berta (35 years old) was wounded by a gunshots. She has suffered serious damage on her body and unfortunately she is not able to move and keep up with her normal activities. No one should have to worry about going to a family party and almost losing their lives. I asked for this help for my sister because she is not able to work and she is the only support for her children. She is a single mother of three beautiful children which two of them were present at the time of the shooting and thank god they were not hurt or injured. Her only focus should be on recovery and helping her daughter get thru this hard time. My niece is traumatized of what happened that she doesn't want to leave the house or continued going to school due to the shooting. She doesn't want to leave my sister side. Anything will be greatly appreciated on this hard time. It has been and will continue to be truly traumatizing for their family and for everyone that was involved. May little Ariana rest in peace. Keep them in your prayers.

Mi hermana Berta (35 años) fue herida por disparos. Ella ha sufrido graves daños en su cuerpo y, desafortunadamente, no es capaz de moverse y mantenerse al día con sus actividades normales.
