Ava and her family

Our Little Ava, 8 years old from Perth was rushed to Ninewells hospital early hours Christmas morning. Her Presents were still under the tree after several weeks! She developed Meningitis along with Septicaemia and flu. Sadly she was named one of the sickest children by doctors. She fought this with all she had. Ava's parents were told that her recovery would be a long one to begin with.

After some time, Ava was transferred to one of the hospitals in Edinburgh so that she would be in the best possible place if anything else may happen. Her parents of course wanted and needed to be by her side throughout this so they could not go to work and keep things going back at home (they have another 2 kids at home). Their family and friends didn't want them to have that extra worry at the back of their minds so we thought we would try this page originally.

Sadly, after 6 long weeks Ava, our beautiful shining star passed away at Rachel House on 5th of February as she could not fight anymore. It is a very difficult time for all the family but we are relived that Ava is now at peace. She will be dancing in the sky! 

All donations will go towards all parts of the funeral (they want to give Ava the funeral she deserves!) and will also hopefully support Claire and Richard in their time off work to grieve.
