Support Audrey's move to start her new job!!

Hello everyone! I am fundraising to assist in the cost of moving to start my new job. As many of my friends and family already know, I am relocating next week to Fort Frances, ON from Grande Prairie, AB.

I have accepted a position working as a land-based aftercare counsellor for individuals who have completed addictions treatment. For those who know me, understand why this is my social work dream job. I have worked in the field of addictions and mental health for the past 22 years, in various capacities but none quite like this one. Not only is this new opportunity an exciting career move, but a personal one as well. One of the communities that I will be working alongside is Rainy River First Nation, which happens to also be where I am registered. So not only do I have this amazing job opportunity, but I get to live and work in my ancestral homelands, which of course means the world to me. I have only ever visited a few times in my life, so I am looking forward to the people I will meet and all the new things I will learn! (My heart beams to think about it:)

Unfortunately I was not able to secure any relocation assistance from my new employer or any other source, therefore I am fundraising to assist with my moving expenses and set up of my TINY new place. Funds raised will go towards paying for the cost of my uhaul and car-trailer rental, the cost of fuel to drive it almost 2200 kms, accommodations along the way, some furniture and other incidental expenses. No one wants to go into debt just to move!!

I want to thank each and every person in advance for helping me achieve this dream. It really would be a dream come true if I could do it with as little financial stress possible. From the bottom of my heart I extend endless gratitude for any and all support!
