(Read this in English below the Bosnian part)

Dragi naši prijatelji i porodico,

Hvala vam svima u ime naše porodice.

Our dear friends and family,

It has now been over a month since our family recieved news no one wishes to hear. Asim, my father (babo), and dear friend to so many people worldwide, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer.

In December, he went to the Emergency Room for back pain but was discharged with news that he has multiple masses indicative of malignancy on his lungs. In a matter of week, after following up with a cancer specialist and completing further tests and imaging, it was found that the cancer has spread to other organs. He was hospitalized at a well known hospital in Chicago to begin further testing and treatments immediately.

Anyone who knows my father knows that he is the most humble and hardworking person there is.

In general, Babo is an optimist. He has been through and survived being in a concentration camp during the war in Bosnia along with many other difficulties while navigating new life in the United States. We are all hopeful that with God's help and his strength to overcome this battle, he will get through this too.

A disease such as this one requires a lot of treatments. Babo is no longer in a position to continue working and needs to prioritize his health and continuing treatments.

I am asking for donations to ease his financial burden. No amount is too small. I appreciate your prayers, support, messages to him, and sharing of this fundraiser amongst others.

On behalf of our family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️
