Support Art For Impact and the work they do

Art For Impact is an art collective that uses art to bring around social change by highlighting issues that are not getting the attention they deserve.  We enact change in two ways.  First, our art serves to create awareness, humanize, and shock people into paying attention to crises they may not otherwise think about.  Second,  we utilize earnings and donations for on the ground, real world action to support our causes.  Currently, we have campaigns working to highlight refugee issues while fighting xenophobia and the politicalization of immigration as well as issues around prosthetics and people with physical disabilities.  We have produced a show called Economy of Paper, highlighting the economic crisis in Venezuela which has forced 5 million people to flee their homes in search of a better future.  Already this exhibition has attracted both media and political attention.  The first showing runs from Aug 22 to Sept 2 in Bogota, Colombia.  Our desire is to expand this exhibition to include broader refugee issues, including in the United States where immigrants are being targeted with increasingly hostile policies.  We have also been delivering humanitarian aid to go along with this to migrating Venezuelan families crossing the mountain ranges in search of a future.  With the disabilities campaign we have been supporting other organizations with photography, journalism and video promos so that they can increase their exposure aid them in fundraising.  In addition to that we have also been volunteering fitting bombing victims as well as people who do not have the finances for prosthetic and orthotic care with artificial limbs, providing translation services between volunteers medical staff and patients, and writing care guidelines for improved outcomes.

Using our current work we plan to enlist other activist artists who can expand the subjects we are calling out.  This will happen as we continue to grow with more people like you working with us creating art campaigns, writing stories and supporting our work and causes.
