Support Andrew Mauren's Fight Against Parkinson's Disease

Dear Friends and Family of the Mauren's,

As we observe Parkinson's Awareness Month and honor World Parkinson's Day on April 11th, we are reaching out with a special request to support our dear friend, Andrew Mauren, who is courageously battling early-onset Parkinson's disease, at the incredibly rare age of 37, diagnosed at age 30 with symptoms appearing as early as 29 years old.

Despite the challenges posed by Parkinson's disease, Andrew maintains an unwaveringly positive outlook. He faces each day with courage and sheer determination to embrace life fully. However, the disease has made simple tasks, often taken for granted by most, incredibly difficult. From changing diapers when Aria was an infant to shuttling her to and from school and dance classes, Andrew finds himself struggling with basic routines like brushing teeth, zipping clothes, putting on shoes, and sometimes even walking or sleeping without excruciating pain. Despite these struggles, Andrew's love for his family drives him to overcome these obstacles and be the best father and husband he can be.

Andrew has always been the one to uplift others, to offer a helping hand, and to spread joy and positivity wherever he goes. Now, it's our turn to rally around him and his beloved wife Desirea and their beautiful four year old daughter Aria, to offer our support in his time of need.

As Andrew navigates the complexities of Parkinson's, an incurable disease, he is faced with mounting medical expenses, therapies, and lifestyle adjustments including undergoing Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery at Duke Health in North Carolina this summer. We are setting up this GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate some of the financial burdens and to ensure that Andrew can focus on his health and well-being without added stress.

Your donations will go directly towards Andrew's medical treatments, therapy sessions, and any necessary home modifications and therapeutic expenses to improve his quality of life. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in Andrew's journey.

Together, let's show Andrew and the Mauren's the same love, support, and kindness that they have always shown us. Let's stand by his side and help him fight this incredulous battle with Parkinson's disease.

Thank you for your generosity, your kindness, and your unwavering support for Andrew during this challenging time.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Friends and Family of the Mauren's
