Like many small businesses, Boxing 4 Health has temporarily closed its doors to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. Unfortunately, this means reduced funding that is threatening the very existence of this young and successful growing business. Boxing 4 Health offers a variety of exercise programs that are not only vital to people living with Parkinson’s but also for seniors. Research has shown that exercise can help reduce the never-ending march of this progressive neurological disease. Put simply, exercise helps preserve quality of life for those living with Parkinson’s. Boxing 4 Health has determined the right balance of exercise intensity, strength training, camaraderie and fun to maximize the positive effect of exercise for these individuals.
The founder and president of Boxing 4 Health, Christine Seaby, has navigated her business tactics in the context of the pandemic by offering online group classes and online one-on-one training to her very loyal client base. This has minimized the loss of funding but there are still challenges. In fact, just a month ago Boxing 4 Health announced a 4th location that is unfortunately now on the back burner.
To keep the lights on, Boxing 4 Health needs an injection of working capital. The goal is to raise enough funds to help them weather the storm into the fall of 2020. The business is pinching its pennies, has reduced all but essential costs and has reduced some programs but this simply is not enough. Christine needs your help to fund the gym during this trying period. Any donation that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
One of Boxing 4 Health’s fighters is a retired business executive and Chartered Public Accountant. He has Parkinson’s and strongly endorses the exercise programs. In fact, he has generously offered to match the donations received up to a maximum of $10,000.
