Support Amber's Education and Recovery

Hello, my name is Amber Campbell and I am a twenty-year-old sophomore currently enrolled at Regent University. Last semester in the spring, I obtained a foot injury triggered by a medical condition I didn't know I had and have been in a boot since. Because of how serious the injury ended up being, I lost my current job due to not being able to put pressure on my foot. The summer passed, and even with rest, it still has not healed completely, along with specific instructions to not use my foot at all. I was at a financial standstill.

In just this past month, I looked at what financial aid was available for me for school this year. All of the scholarships and federal loans I received were not enough to cover this semester's schooling. I then decided to try and apply for a personal loan, and hopefully get it to cover what was needed just for this fall semester. Unfortunately, there was a lack of communication, and the organization I had applied to said I wasn't eligible for not meeting their GPA criteria, despite having an above-average score. Along with this, the Financial Aid Office was not clear with ways to help me seek aid that could help me, and have essentially left me on my own. I've been trying to find jobs in the local area of Virginia Beach to try and accommodate me with my injury, along with jobs on campus that may be able to pay my tuition in full, but none will get back to me. Along with this, my car recently broke down, and I now have to rely on classmates to get me to my classes.

In all honesty, I need help. I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. I'm scared, tired, and overwhelmed. I would hate to leave school, being that it is a place I finally have made good friends and a place where I can call home. If I don't keep up on payments, I'll be forced to leave.

Every little bit helps. The minimum goal is $6,000, just so I can cover this semester's tuition while I continue to find a job so I can get money for food and gas. Monthly payments are 850 dollars twice a month (the next payment is the 16th of this month) If anything is donated over the goal, it will be set aside for next semester (with hopefully some of the money I'll get from a future job).
