Help Support Akbar Staff During the Dry Times!
With the mandatory closures of bars and restaurants from COVID-19, your beloved LA bars and their staffs are struggling to keep their households together. All service industry professionals rely mainly upon TIPS for their income, and while the Akbar owners are doing what they can to help us out on our lost income, we are humbly asking you, our community of friends and family, to please pitch in if at all possible. While we're all drinking Quarentinis at home, we invite you to have a "virtual beer" or two with the Akbar gang.
Akbar has spent the last 23 years providing a safe space to foster building a community for our queer family and their loved ones. Please help keep that spirit alive and the lights on for the bartenders and staff who have given so much time and energy supporting that dream. We've been here for you every time you step inside our doors. While we want to make sure all of you take care of your own health and well-being, your financial assistance at this time will help us do the same.
