Adrian Mascari Memorial Fund for his Children

On Sunday, July 26, Adrian Mascari was rushed to Mon Health Medical Center in severe pain with, what would be diagnosed as, severe acute pancreatitis, gall stones, and multiple organ failure. Since then Adrian has been transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital and spent much of this first week in an intensive care unit (ICU) requiring ongoing dialysis, mechanical ventilation, and significant sedation to manage the pain from this severe illness. Fortunately, he was transferred out of ICU on Friday (July 31), but still requires ongoing dialysis, hi-flow oxygen and pain medication therapy.
Adrian has begun to make progress but his doctors and medical professionals anticipate this to be a very long road that will require an extended hospital stay, potential surgeries, and ongoing treatment. Even with health insurance, these medical expenses will be substantial. Adrian is a father of four children - two in college and one in high school who are shocked, scared, and worried about his recovery. Our family has started this GoFundMe page to support Adrian as he battles and recovers from this severe illness.
For all of us who know Adrian well, he is a quiet and proud man - seldom, if ever, asking for help or support when in a bind. However - he needs his friends, families, and community to help him now. We would sincerely appreciate your prayers, thoughts, and financial support to ensure that, as Adrian is fighting this illness, his children can maintain their day-to-day needs and have financial safety, and he can focus on overcoming the illness with hope that a portion of his exponential medical costs (currently unknown) can be offset.
