Help Expand the Foundation to Help Rescue More Horses...

Hello, my name is Michael Balog, and I am honored to introduce myself as the Founder and Executive Director of the Anita Balog Memorial Angel Horse Foundation. Our organization was born out of a deep passion for saving lives and creating hope. Our mission is threefold: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses that have been abandoned or are at risk of slaughter and to transform these incredible animals into beacons of healing for those who need it most.

Today, I am reaching out to raise funds for a project that lies close to my heart—the development and expansion of our ABM Therapy Horse Division. This program is designed to train rescued horses to provide therapeutic support to people who are facing significant challenges in their lives, including Veterans with PTSD, children with emotional trauma or disabilities, and individuals who are grieving or recovering from serious injuries. This is more than a project; it’s a lifeline for the horses and the people who will benefit from their unique ability to connect and heal.

As the founder, I find this mission deeply personal. I started this foundation to honor my wife, Anita Balog, and carry forward her legacy of compassion and advocacy for those in need. These horses have stories of survival, resilience, and redemption—and so do the people we serve. I have witnessed firsthand how these animals’ gentle and intuitive nature can break through barriers of pain and fear, offering healing and hope in ways that traditional methods often cannot.

The funds we are raising will have a direct and transformative impact. They will be used to:

• Build a state-of-the-art facility to house and train our therapy horses.

• Cover the costs of rescuing and rehabilitating horses that would otherwise face a tragic end.

• Provide specialized training for horses to become therapy partners for veterans, children, and individuals in need.

• Expand our outreach efforts to connect with more people who can benefit from equine therapy.

Once the funds are raised, our foundation will carefully manage them to ensure every dollar is spent on advancing our mission. From purchasing supplies and equipment to supporting operational costs, every contribution will bring us closer to launching this program and saving more lives—both human and equine.
