This sweet boy and his family lost their home (seen here) and all of their belongings in The Mountain Fire that tore through neighborhoods in Camarillo at horrifying speeds yesterday. This home was also my beloved home my entire childhood. My parents bought it in 1982. It was a place of the most special times of childhood wonder while playing in all the magical gardens planted by my mom. It hosted pumpkin parties, large family dinners, string light lit gatherings under the beautiful trees, and was a place filled with a tremendous amount of love.

My sister and her family had made it their home in the last 8 years. It had gorgeous green gardens that she had carefully planted and nurtured as a horticulture expert while her two sons grew from babies to young children. She had created that same magic for her children to play and grow in this big natural space.

They deeply need our support in slowly rebuilding this life and home lost and recreating the magical place again for her children as they grapple with what has been lost and how to go forward.
