Families At The Border is a group of medical professionals ranging from doctors, nurses, researchers, medical students and other passionate advocates needing your help to bring supplies and medical care to the California border. You can help us today by donating money so we can gather the following supplies:
• Medications:
o Calcium Channel Blockers
o Oseltamivir
o Fexofenadine
o Salbutamol (Inhaler and nebules)
o Iron supplements
o Pediatric URI medications (not currently needed 7/6/19)
o Zofran
o PPIs (omeprazole, etc.)
o Narcan spray
o Nitroglycerin spray
o Depo Provera
o Birth control pills
o Metoclopramide
o Pepto Bismol pills
o Hormones
o Estradiol
o Spironolactone
• Antibiotics:
o Augmentin (suspension and capsules)
o Azithromycin (suspension and capsules)
o Ceftriaxone (IM)
o Flagyl
o Clindamycin
o Nitrofurantoin
• Pediatric antibiotics
o Metronidazole sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim
■ Topical Antibiotics: Mupirocin/Bactroban, Bacitracin, permethrin
• Topical Antifungals: Miconazole, Clotrimazole, Nystatin, Ophthalmic Cipro
• Other
o Nitro sublingual tabs
o Medical Supplies:
o Spring-loaded lancets
o Nebulizers
o Medical scale
o Medical exam paper
o Normal Saline solution
o Portable Ultrasound

o Hemacue (hemoglobin check)
o Oral rapid HIV tests

A brief overview of what we do:
The majority of our time will be spent taking building workgroups to take action in the following areas:
1) Letter writing/signing and discussions about op-ed pieces regarding the impact of family separation and toxic stress on children's development;
2) Developing tailored hospital protocols for how to support our children and families
3) Coordinating volunteers who would like to support families on the border
