Our students are right brain thinkers.They are creative, imaginative, and visual. They are future artists, designers, and photographers! We teach at a small charter school in North Carolina. We are a tight knit school community where teachers are committed to helping students reach their fullest potential whether that be a future scientist, graphic designer, or the next Ansel Adams. Many of our students have chosen to attend our school for its small class sizes and rich arts curriculum. Our students are exploring their interests and deciding where the future will take them. We want to give them the best arts education possible so that they can reach their fullest potential.
Digital editing software is used almost daily in the Photography classroom. Students in the Photography classes explore the creative process through the lens of their camera. Part of understanding the creative process is the use of digital software to enhance student work so that a photograph can convey its meaning more fully.
Photography students need Photoshop Elements to enhance their understanding of how proper digital editing plays a critical role in the development of good Photography.
By funding Photoshop Elements for our lab, students will gain an increased understanding of digital editing, which will allow them to produce a more diversified portfolio and become better, more competitive photographers.

The Visual Arts classes have almost tripled this year therefore we need more supplies so that we can provide a diverse art curriculm for our students. Students in grades 7-11 will use this much needed equipment daily as they create beautiful masterpieces!
