Super Zayne's Brain Surgery

My sweet cousin and her family discovered that their 4-year old boy, Zayne, had an inoperable optic glioma tumor a little over a year ago. Please read the Background Story Blog for more info and posts chronicling the events up to this point.
Within the last few weeks, his doctors discovered a rapidly growing cyst being fed, presumably, by the tumor. Immediate removal of the cyst is absolutely necessary in order to prevent permanent blindness, brain damage, or worse...
It is unclear exactly what their out-of-pocket medical expenses are going to be for this surgery; they could be as high as $20k. Additionally, the family is facing substantial travel expenses (airfare, rental car, food, short term lodging/housing, and lost wages) as the surgery will be performed outside of their home state and has a prolonged recovery time due to the complexity of the procedure.
