UPDATE APRIL 2021:
We really hoped that Covid would have stayed in 2020! Thanks to the support of our generous community we raised $6408 in the Spring of 2020 & provided meals to the Beaumont FH Emergency Department for approximately 6 weeks. Unfortunately Covid is on the rise in our area in April 2021. We re-opened this Go Fund Me in hopes of supporting the front line at Beaumont FH through this surge of Covid.
SUPERHEROES wear SCRUBS!
As healthcare professionals tirelessly battle this virus, they are "running into the fire" to help keep all of us safe.
While we are staying home trying stop the spread, many of us feel helpless. This Go Fund Me is our way to help the dedicated healthcare professionals who are on the front lines in the Emergency Department at Beaumont Farmington Hills. Many of these healthcare providers are working multiple shifts with no breaks. They are dedicated to helping no matter the circumstances. While we are not able to manufacture PPE that they so desperately need, we can help provide them with nourishment.
These doctors, nurses, residents, techs, respiratory therapists, x-ray technicians and all other ancillary staff are swamped and often do not have time to stop to eat. Vending machines are empty. If they wanted to try to find food, leaving the ER to go to the cafeteria would require changing out of valued PPE so they refrain from doing so.
In an effort to help, we delivered snacks and meals over the past few days. The response from hospital staff has been overwhelming. They are so appreciative. It helps the hospital staff to know that those of us who are staying put at home are thinking of them as they work long hours in difficult conditions.

Every dollar donated makes a difference! We would like to thank those of you who have already donated to our initial effort via Venmo. Now moving forward with this Go Fund Me, we will continue to provide snacks and meals as often as we can. We will provide updates on how these funds are being used via our Facebook Page, “Covid-19 Volunteer Opportunities Metro Detroit.”
