The Superdash is a JOINT fundraising initiative! Half of the money raised for the Superdash will be donated to Help for Heroes, and half will go towards the Supertown Edinburgh Fringe fund!
We are 'Supertown'. A group of 16 musical theatre performers, taking our original musical 'Supertown' to Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015!
After it's successful world premiere, produced by LIDOS in Leeds in 2014, the show's writers, along with an enthusiastic SuperTeam of performers, are now taking the musical to Edinburgh.
But, staging a musical at Edinburgh Fringe Festival isn't cheap by any stretch. We need to raise a lot of money to get us there!
So, how do we intend to inspire our friends, families, and members of the public to help us on our journey? With the Superdash!
We are going to really push ourselves physically to proove how much this venture means to all of us!
We are planning, across 5 different events in just over 2 weeks, to collectively run / walk / swim the 350km from the location of our World Premiere (LS2 3AD) to our performing venue in Edinburgh (EH1 1DH)!
The events we'll be taking part in are as follows:
Saturday 27th June - 2 hour SuperSwim
Wednesday 1st July - 5k City-Run
Sunday 5th July - 15k Walk
Wednesday 8th July - 5k Park-Run
Sunday 12th July - Leeds 10k
Different members of the team will be involved in different events, with some people signed up to all 5!

This isn't simply about getting our venture to Edinburgh however. We're also donating half of all of the money raised for the Superdash to 'Help for Heroes'. Having written a musical about cartoony, singing superheroes, it felt only right that we use our physical challenge to help some of the true heroes in the world.
Help for Heroes delivers an enduring national network of support for our wounded servicemen and their families, inspiring and enabling those who have made sacrifices on our behalf to achieve their full potential.
Any donation, great or small is much apprecaited. We're all pushing ourselves physically for this challenge, as we're all passionate about taking our project to Edinburgh, and to helping 'Help for Heroes' to continue their good work, and prove that just like in Supertown, you don't need superpowers to be a hero!
