Summer STEM Program

I teach some of the most AMAZING 4th graders in the world! Located in Chicago's Belmont Cragin Neighborhood, my school services a population, in which 96% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. I am working towards making sure my students have every possible resource available to ensure they have they best learning experience every day!


I applied for 6 students, in the top 10% of my class to attend the National Youth Leadership Pathways to Stem program this upcoming summer 2018 in Chicago; and they were accepted! This program will give my students a unique experience in the STEM field. Students will be participating in a six night or day hands on program, where they evolve into innovators, engineers, doctors, software developers and scientists. This program is an opportunity that I could only dream to provide to my students!


While this program is amazing, it also comes at a price; and sadly my students cannot afford this by themselves. For 6 nights, students will have to pay $2,195, this includes room and board, base tuition and all the lectures and activities.

Students also have the option of participating in the same program but without the overnight component, for $1,795.


To cover the cost for all 6 of my students I will need a total of $12,600 by May 20th, 2018. Would you consider donating to help my students attend this life changing STEM program?

4 students- Residential Program: $2,195 tuition x 4= $8780

2 students- Day Program: $1,795 x 2 = $3,590
