SUHPA 2021 Maiden flight

Donation protected
We are a team of university students from Southampton, all part of SUHPA (Southampton University Human Powered Aircraft Society). We have spent the past two years designing and building our very own human powered aircraft, the "Lazarus".

A human powered aircraft flies exclusively using the pedaling power from its pilot. It is a incredibly difficult engineering challenge, but we believe our airplane has a lot of potential!

Now our aircraft is ready for its maiden flight, and we ask for your help to make this endeavor possible. The goal is to test the aircraft ahead of the 2021 Icarus cup (a nationwide human powered aircraft competition), which will take place in late July of this year.

All funds from this fundraiser will go towards paying for the transportation and storage of the aircraft while at the test site, and for the equipment necessary to repair/modify the aircraft during testing.

We need your help to be able to test our aircraft, and watch the result of our efforts fly! By contributing you will enable the next generation of human powered flight enthusiasts to get off the ground this year!

Anyone donating 30£ or more will be eligible to have their name written on our airplane's fuselage!!
