Sugerbabe Short Film

l have been acting professionally since l was 15. l have learned to cope with rejection and not take this industry too personally. After numerous auditions, I found myself craving more empowering and dynamic roles that inspired other young women, like myself. l was being rejected for roles that l didn't even care to play in the first place and in turn was becoming disheartened with my career choice. It is no secret that Hollywood is a misogynistic playground of dumb blondes and sexy secretaries. l recently decided to take matters into my own hands and team up with one of my favorite people; Award winning writer and directer Summer Vaughan. We came together and realized we both have similar frustrations in the film industry. Summer is almost always the only female on set and is looked to for the “female perspective” all too often.  Together we came up with a concept for a campy, dark-twisted comedy following our female heroine: Vivian. We follow Vivian’s lavish lifestyle as a sugar baby and quickly learn her real intentions behind her career choice. We plan to submit this short film to film festivals and catch peoples attentions enough to eventually make a full-length feature film.
