Help Us Help Them: Indonesia
Donation protected
On September 28th, 2018, a devastating 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck just off the central island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. The earthquake triggered a tsunami that completely engulfed the coastal city of Palu, killing more than 1,200 people and creating a humanitarian disaster in its wake.
There is now an urgent and desperate need for humanitarian aid in Indonesia, with supplies of food, water and fuel running dangerously low.
Natural Disaster Aid UK is already mobilising to help, and you can assist us by donating to our campaign or by launching your own Fundraising Page to become an advocate for our appeal.
Tens of thousands of homes have been destroyed and entire communities have been decimated as a result of the earthquake in Indonesia. More than 600 children are confirmed dead and 200,000 survivors are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
Natural Disaster Aid UK and their partners are working closely with the Indonesian authorities to provide food, clean water, first aid and shelter, as well as helping survivors to cope with the trauma of the last week. Natural Disaster Aid UK is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of natural disasters and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.
The NDAUK also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Our mission is to alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and uphold human dignity, especially during times of conflict and other emergencies.
