Abbie & Lisa

Abbie and Lisa lost their home and most of what was in it to a fire today. Miraculously, the most important things—their five dogs—were saved and are all okay. But Abbie and Lisa will be looking for a new place to live for a few months while their home is repaired.

We thought long and hard but couldn’t come up with two people with bigger hearts than these women. Every single day, you can find them helping a person or an animal or a rescue group, even while running eleventy-thousand small businesses and taking amazing care of their own dogs. Every week, you can find Abbie doing something like sawing a dead branch off a tree or taking extra time to help a new foster dog get comfortable with strangers. Lisa can be found making beautiful things for our silent auctions and loving on whatever creature comes near her.

They could use OUR help now. They’ll have an insurance deductible to deal with and living expenses between now and the time they settle things up with the insurance company. They need to rent a house while paying a mortgage. Thanks for whatever help you can give them!
