Sudanese communities inside Sudan and abroad are concerned about an outbreak of acute watery diarrhea that has claimed several lives.Although the authorities deny its presence the doctors are convinced that the cause of acute diarrheal is cholera using WHO cholera case definition. Infection has started in White Nile Province; now it is spreading to other areas .Some cases have been reported in the capital Khartoum . The situation is aggravated by the lack of basic medical supplies as rehydration fluids as well as lack of clean water. Cholera is a communicable disease that is transmitted via contaminated food and water and handling stool and body fluids of infected people.It is likely to spread in places with poor sanitation ,inadequate water supply, lack of treatment, and poor hygiene. The disease is spreading rapidly and in some areas schools have been turned into isolation centres to contain the spread of the cholera infection. Sudan Doctors Union treasury office will oversee the process of receiving donation and will distribute in the Sudan with collaboration with The National Commission for Combating Epidemics in Sudan
