Tour Diary Entry: Day 3 - 2/3/18
Sanity Level: Reaching critical low
The day has come...
Our van Baby Bueller has bit the dust. We're in Alexandria, VA. It is only day 3... It was a recent purchase but unfortunately, due to old age and natural wear and tear, the vehicle is not drivable. The rear brake system wore down and suffered corrosion damage that led to a leak. The repairs, parts, and labor bring us to a total cost of a little over $1600. On top of that, there was a severe leak dealing with the transmission that would add another $1000 to repair costs. Unfortunately, we do not find ourselves in the situation to be able to afford this.
Our van is toast.
Luckily enough we have friends nearby who are willing to rent us their van to finish the rest of tour! The money we are raising will go towards renting the van and getting us home. We have so so so many great shows along this tour and will be visiting some places for the first time. We want to finish this thing for not only ourselves, but for everyone who has helped and invested time into making these shows happen. We know these kinds of things happen and luckily, we are all safe and sound. Virginia isn't such a bad place to be stranded in haha.
We appreciate all the recent love, and especially those who have been pushing for us in a game that's rigged against us. We out here together doing the work and we know far too many who have found themselves in the grasp of such a crippling circumstance.
We don't want to fold. We want to keep this tour going. We've got an infinite amount of love for y'all. Thank you from the Stuyedeyed familia.
