Study Abroad in London and Amsterdam

Hey family and friends! Thank you so so much for taking the time to visit my page.
I am a current Junior at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Illinois. I am pursuing a duel Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice with a Double minor in Black Studies and Political Science. I have been accepted to attend Richmond University in London, England. The academic term is from January 6, 2020 - April 30, 2020. Following that term I have been given the additional opportunity to explore Amsterdam with the Criminal Justice Department from my home school from May 14,2020- May 28,2020. There, we will be traveling to near by cities exploring the historic sites, and jails. Learning how their criminal justice system works.
By attending both of these programs to London and Amsterdam, I will be earning a total of 21 credit hours while experiencing the culture and everyday aspects from both cities. While in London I will be studying Psychology, French language , politics and black London History.
So far throughout my college journey, I've accomplished so many goals, from holding positions in many different black organizations to being a Springboard Leader to help incoming freshmen transition from high school to college prior to starting classes in the fall semester. Since my freshman year I have been heavily involved with various organizations; which have lead me to participate in different leadership opportunities on my campus.
My college journey has been influential and life changing thus far, with the exception of traveling abroad. Abroad has been so heavy on my list of things to complete for a while now, but I always looked over a lot due to financial barriers. After speaking with so many of my peers who have taken the same steps in which I am seeking, I feel more and more confident that this will be a life changing experience. Not only will this opportunity expand my college experience but it will also benefit me in my future career as a lawyer and aspirations of influencing others.
I have started this GoFundMe account so that you can help make this dream of mine come true. The cost includes fees for tuition, housing, transportation, in case of an emergency and international airfare. Please read and share my story with your family and friends!
