Student Tuition for NYLF: Business

Hello Everyone,
My name is Cherese Joy Lisama. I am a junior student at NorthWest Career and Technical Academy (NWCTA) High School. I am a Hospitality Major. I have been nominated to represent my school and the community of Las Vegas for the NYLF (National Youth Leadership Forum) for the Business Innovation Program.
It would be a 6 Days summer class at the second-oldest Ivy League school and one of the most prestigious colleges in the world – Yale University.
By attending NYLF, I will join other motivated students from around the country for an experiential leadership and career exploration program. This will be a powerful experience, enabling me to interact with respected professionals in various fields while building relationships with students who will be my future colleagues. Attending this program will enable me to further my interest in the field of Business Management and reach my career goals.
As a Hospitality Major, I have joined multiple competition to enhance my academic skills. I have participated on State DECA Competition last year, and will be competing again this February. I also recently competed at the Major CES Convention for the Youth Future Innovators: Speech Competition and was awarded third place.
Imagine if you had been given this opportunity for a life-changing experience when you were in school and were unable to participate due to lack of funds.
My participation in the program depends on sponsorships. The program tuition is $3000 and my travel to the program will be $1000 (round-trip flight/transportation). My family and I are investing every dollar to make sure I don’t miss out on this unique opportunity. It will be a challenge with the current fund available and with the deadline approaching. My tuition must be paid no later than March 23, 2018 – for the enrollment deadline.
Each year, Envision offers a limited number of partial scholarships to qualified students. Scholarship funds are based on financial need, scholastic merit, leadership achievement, and other factors. Submission of a scholarship application is required to be considered for an award. The current scholarship application deadline date is Wednesday, February 28, 2018. I will also do my part in entering for the chance in the scholarship.
