Hello, family, friends, and friends of friends! My name is Aileen Arias and I am a nursing student in my last semester of Cal State Univerisity Fullerton's (CSUF) Accelerated BSN program. I'm one of only two students selected from CSUF to attend the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) conference in Washington DC!!
It is an absolute privilege to be selected for this amazing three-day learning experience taking place March 19-21!!!! AACN conference details: AACN
Currently, equal opportunity, evidence-based healthcare is under attack. Through this conference, I will learn about the federal policy making process, and how to effect that change from my own community to be a true advocate for healthcare and my patients. Come with me on this journey, as I will forward all this knowledge to my community and help impact needed change to protect healthcare!!
While CSUF selected me, students are expected to cover all costs ourselves. As a full-time student in an accelerated bachelor's program, I am unable to afford these expenses. ♥ Please donate any amount you can to help propel my learning on enacting policy change for the sake of healthcare and patient care. No donation is too small!! ♥ My classmate and I were creative in cutting down the initial price quote from $4,000 to $2,000. Here is the breakdown of my expenses:

♥Conference registration: $400
♥Lodging: $250
♥Transportation in DC: $200
♥Food: $200
♥GoFundMe's cut: $160
♥Professional attire: $140
♥Unexpected expenses: $100
Total: $2,000
Plane tickets are on a price-freeze until Feb 3rd @ 8pm, so the first $550 is critical to avoid added expenses. Conference registration is due Feb 7th so I may access the required pre-conference webinars. The rest needs to be covered before I leave on March 18th. NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL!!

♥I have volunteered in over 50 international medical missions providing free medical care to underserved communities. I am excited to help on a larger scale once I have my BSN, RN degree.
♥After helping gather a truck-load of supplies, I was recently at Standing Rock to provide direct support to our courageous Water Protectors.
♥My life is dedicated to medicine, helping those less fortunate, and being the change I want to see in this world.
