Queens College student’s home destroyed in fire

On April 21st 2024 (3am) an unfortunate fire went off in an apartment building in Woodside, NY. One of the residents affected was a Queens College alum, Class of 2023.

Thankfully no one was critically harmed but her home was completely decimated in the fire and now her and her family have been displaced. They have nowhere to go and they are carrying 30 years of their life in plastic bags, searching for a home.

This is a devastating situation for her, her family, and the others affected.
