Student Chairs & Library Charity

Tax deductible
My name is Alfred S. Tamba, originally from Foya District Liberia. I moved to Minnesota from Liberia, where I live now, during the fourteen year Civil War. I work at Woodwinds Health Campus as a nursing assistant and a transporter. Realizing the blessing my children, my wife, and I continue to receive from this great country, I decided to extend those blessing to people in need in my home country. In order to do this, I am partnering with a non-profit organization named Kids for a Better World. Kids for a Better World has been amazing help to me through this process and they also have been assisting kids in Liberia. Kids for a Better World Inc. is a tax exempt organization who will be collecting all donations. From information I received from Home, I made my first trip in January 2007. I took with me 355 backpacks, 3000 notebooks, and 3000 pencils. Some which I bought and some donated by my co-workers at woodwinds health campus. Those items were a blessing to me and those kids that received them. In January 2010 my sister Marion Tamba and I sent $800.00 to make benches for the kids I met sitting in the classroom on the floor. In the same year of 2010 I took 100 boxes of kids reading books from K-2 and also 6th grade which I received from Kids for a Better World. From more information I got from Home, I saw the need for student chairs for  kids to use in class and a little library where the kids can go to read and borrow books to do their homework. I decided to ask my co-workers financially to enable me to start the library project. We received $1000 from my co-workers from Woodwinds and other health East staff. We also received a check in the amount of $1000 from Scenic Hills Alternative Care, where I worked for the past thirteen years. All through Kids for a Better World, we flew to Liberia on Jan. 8, 2018, and started the Tarma Library Project. We also took four hospital beds and mattresses that were donated from Global Health Ministries to Parluma Health Center, which is the clinic that is serving the community.  Because of time we did not stay to see the finishing of the Library foundation. But we will update you with photos as the project progresses. However we still need financial assistance to complete the project and get student chairs and are kindly asking you to be a help.
