Stuarts cancer & stem cell transplant
Donation protected
Stuart my husband and father to our 6 children, was diagnosed last year with non-curable Stage 4, Follicular Lymphoma cancer. This was extensive throughout his body; around his heart and had greatly enlarged his spleen. For ten years previous my husband has battled with a degenerative spine/ numerous surgeries and a near fatal case of sepsis, before the blow of cancer. We were (and still are) devastated, not only did the news break my husband and i, we watched our children fall apart too. Although, we decided on day one to get them through, and my husband has maintained normality and communication with them; being a flawless dad regardless of his struggle.
Since diagnosis, Stuart has recieved 6 rounds of chemo (and another back operation in between); although Stuarts diagnosis is pallative, he is now thankfully in full remision so far, and on maintenance treatment for the next two years. The prognosis for lymphoma reoccurence is short. Therefore, to help stuart maintain a healthy chance of staying in remmision longer a healthy lifestyle is needed. This could be achieved through reccomended healthy organic eating and hemp- oil supplementation (approx; £200 per week); and from a physically active point (and quality of life), the need to prevent Stuarts further spinal deteriation and complications while coping with cancer could be realised through corrective spinal surgery (approx; £25,000).
We ask for funding as my husband has been my carer for numerous years and had finished a forensic HND at uni, but is unable to work, with myself on leave from university; this means we are unable to afford expensive organic foods and supplements, let alone corrective surgery to end my husbands long term disability.
With the help of funding, Stuart could maintain a healthy lifestyle in the hope of prolonging remmision. Stuart,s personal goal is to be there for his children for years to come and would like to return to work; essentislly having a future.
Any Help will be Greatly Appreciated, and we give our thanks; from my husband, our children and myself in advance.
